Spiro Is Great — a Vindicated Media film
Spiro Agnew served as the 39th Vice President of the United States — and in 1973 became the second in history to resign the office. Drawing on years of archival research at the University of Maryland's Hornbake Library, the Nixon Presidential Library, and Frostburg State University, the film traces his rise, his resignation, and how his story faded from national memory.
One year before a president resigned, a vice president did. History kept one story and let the other go. Through archival footage, court records, and firsthand interviews with the people who were there, Spiro Is Great asks how a man a heartbeat from the presidency slipped out of American memory — and lets those who lived it tell the story in their own words.
